  1. A convincing win for Fax at 'home" to Toulouse.. squeezes the top 6 again..
  2. Lannon injured tomorrow.. and Hirst out after failing HIA but you are right the forwards will be excellent
  3. Yes definitely save Mo for Bradford were his workrate will be massive. We could rotate Ashurst who has been a model of consistency but then that's both second rowers changing.

I suspect that all parties knew that Danny was not going to get another deal beyond this season. Sheffield offered him a deal now and we allowed that to happen as we have replaced him with Smith. Works for all parties. DC has been excellent for Oldham and a pleasure to watch. I wish him all the best.. if any oldham player takes one of his dummies...
  5. According to my Sheffield supporting buddies Smith was playing well for Eagles but it wasn't working out with Lingard as coach. These things happen. He had an excellent track record at Championship level
  6. But replaced by Morgan Smith who is 5 years younger and a similar type of player
  7. Signed for Swinton as predicted by Phantom Horseman..

    Lawton.

Unless we have a direct replacement for DC I sincerely hope that his premature exit is just a silly rumour. I certainly agree that Farnworth needs to be retained. A great player with his best years ahead of him. As for Adam he was great until his broken leg last year and when he reappeared his discipline was awful and he struggled to recapture his best form...understandably so. He has put in a shift this season and i would have been happy to keep him until the end of the season. If lannon has bust his ribs then he would have been an option to step in but we also have Pat moran and Ben Forster keeping fit elsewhere and ET to revert to the back row now Wildie is back.
  9. Looking forward to this one..hopefully continue our run of form with some tough away trips to York and Bradford ahead...hopefully they knock lumps out of each other this weekend! Just seen the Halifax squad for their home game against Toulouse this Saturday.. they have Dayon Sambou - brother of our Jumah - and George Whitby - who until recently was starting for Saints in the halves - under their dual registration agreement with Saints. A real boost for them after a period of poor form.
  10. Hmm not too sure on that one.. when you look at highlight reels for ET the thing that stood out for me was his lateral movement. Don't get me wrong ET is a fantastic player with a tremendous rugby brain and workrate but he is easier to tackle these days without that ability to move before contact.
  11. I agree that those options make more sense having played for both. Hands off Pat!
  12. It was just one poster.. could be completely wrong.. but noted it for here. I have noticed JT moving better in some recent training montages and I am sure he won't want to finish on the semi final defeat against Fev where he was clearly struggling bur giving his all. I would be delighted to see him back
  13. Jayden Hatton has been released by Fev to pursue an opportunity closer to his North West base.. one poster has suggested that he is signing for us.
  14. Strange timing. Ben Davies can play in the halves as could Phoenix at a push but then we have holes elsewhere unless players are also incoming.
  15. Lawton to Widnes now is understandable.. but lots of bumps and bangs today. Wildie back next week so that allows ET to return to the backrow and we also have Pat keeping fit with Fev. I suspected that DC would move on at the end of the year with Lomax coming in but with Dean on crutches that would only leave us with Astley and Drinkwater in the halves now.
