  1. Ive been a Dewsbury fan for long enough to know that it’s always time to panic. Why put off to tomorrow what you can do today?
  2. I suspect a number of the players will know already if they’re gunna be leaving, just as they knew about Finny in advance. So it will be interesting to see how they go against Doncaster next week.
  3. It’s a forum BSJ. Facts are dull and I reckon half the rumours come to fruition anyhow. Some were questioning if Liam was gunna leave for starters and we all know how that’s ending.
  4. Don’t think anyone will be getting signed up until a new coach arrives. We had a massive opportunity to get going first with our early promotion but Liam and Fax have scuppered that unfortunately
  5. How sad. Three of our best to a club that probably doesn’t need em really.

Ta BSJ. As for the bile and delusion I’d say fair enough form the few bits I read. God knows what anyone outside the sport will make of it and it certainly seems a poor deal for the league 1 and championship clubs.

I see we’ve been ranked at 24 for now. I’ll fess up that I have no idea what this will mean and I gather it will change when the 2024 league places are known. hopefully BSJ (or maybe even the club) will tell us what it all means.
  8. Reckon Bailey might be one we lose to Fax. Not only has re really come on this season, but more importantly I think Liam saw his potential from the off.
  9. Probably more worried about who he might poach? Was bad when Ned took half the team to Widnes. I suspect Fax have enough Championship proven players but would t be surprised if we don’t lose a couple at least to Fax.
  10. Doesn't mean he won't have announced his departure......
  11. Doesn’t mean Liam won’t have announced his imminent departure
  12. Ooooh. Change of date. Maybe Finny will be at Fax by 1st September
  13. I’d like to keep the bulk of the team to be honest. But we need to add a couple of Fergie type forwards and if Paul S does call it a day- a decent 6. After that maybe some pace. Gabs pretty fast but otherwise I think this is where we might struggle up in the Championship
  14. Just watched em. Doesn’t matter now but a prize to anyone who can work out why Callum’s first half try was chalked off Only players I could see obstructing were wearing white and blue
  15. https://dewsburyrams.co.uk/2023/08/07/presentation-night-details-2/ Should be a cracker this year
  16. Exactly what Mrs D said to me yesterday and she’s very astute in these matters
  17. I’d wait three weeks Coolie or you’ll be sadly disappointed
  18. Can’t see that anything I said was disrespectful to the current lads. Said we ain’t been the same since Ferguson was injured and we ain’t. He is our best forward so we’re gunna miss him. Would saying Man City weren’t quite as good without Haarland be disrespectful or just stating an obvious fact?
  19. Despite all the self pity and grumbling on here over the last two days (including from me ) it’s worth remembering that we have lost one game all season and have, at times, played superbly. Can’t agree with some of the comments about our defence. Think that’s been a strength over the season as shown by the league table. 178 points against is way better than anyone else. Think too that our forwards have generally dominated other packs, maybe just struggling to get the offloads in in recent games? we should beat Workington but nerves might make it tighter than we’d like. If we don’t we will def beat Donny away.
  20. Agree and it has been noticeable how much more we have struggled in this area since we lost Fergie. We haven't dominated many games at all since his injury. All well and good knowing what's wrong but will our budget stretch to two or three Fergies?? Nope...Im afraid. I was keener than anyone to drop down to League 1 and boy, Ive enjoyed winning, but the penalty of getting promotion is that we will be back to square one..LOL...
  21. They were better at half back for sure but we created enough chances to win the game and as others have pointed out actually got over the line several times without luck.
  22. Bit harsh, but I get your drift. They did look weak down that side and we didn’t exploit it enough. Owen had a great game but could have passed the ball a few times down that side.
  23. One of best refs we've had this season. Well played to him.
