Dons News Posted March 17, 2015 Share Posted March 17, 2015 The first ever National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day is taking place on Wednesday 18 March and the ‘Spot the Signs’ publicity campaign is being promoted in Doncaster this week. Spot the Signs is designed to help people recognise common signs of abuse and know how to raise an alert. Posters, banners and social media posts will highlight the sort of behaviour which may point to young people being caught up in sexual exploitation. They include: -Regularly going missing from home -Receiving gifts from unknown sources -Self-harming -Being withdrawn from their families To get involved and help protect local children from sexual exploitation we’re asking you to share this message with friends, family and colleagues so that we can inform as many people as possible about the Stop the Signs campaign and help promote National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day.
