Following the departureof Head Coach Paul Cooke on Monday, Chief Executive Carl Hall has insisted that it is ‘business as usual’ for the Dons as they head into the weekend in desperate need of a win against Hunslet Hawks.

Speaking at Lindholme Training Complex, Hall said: “It’s important that we get on with things as normal and the boys know that their priorities haven’t changed.

“Paul [Cooke] left us just yesterday and already the search for a new Head Coach begins.

“It’s only been 24 hours and already applications are flooding in from all over.

“The interest shown from abroad in the position has been huge.

“We’re very forward thinking and we want the club to go in a new direction but there’s lots to look forward to.

“We’re going to take our time over the decision as it’s important we get it spot on, but we are hoping to have someone in place within two to three weeks.

“The boys know what their priorities are. Everyone’s focus is fully on Blackpool at the weekend but at the moment we’re all positive about the future of this club.

”Dons season ticket holders can take advantage of 50%off at this weekends Summer Bash as the Dons take on Hunslet in Blackpool.
