This week, the NCS programme led by Jan Budtz, Tom Foy and Matt Umney have been out and about promoting the NCS programme for 2016.

The team have held assemblies at Trinity Academy, Balby Carr Community Academy, Danum Academy, Hayfield School, Mexborough Academy and Rossington All Saints Academy.

The visits have been a huge success, with pupils from both year 11 and 12 signing up to the programmes in the Spring and Summer 2016.

Tom said: “It’s been great to engage with the current year 11 and 12 pupils from around Doncaster – it’s encouraging to see how many young people want to develop themselves by showing interest in the NCS programme.”

The NCS team will continue their visits into more schools across Doncaster in the early New Year.

New NCS Coordinator Matt Umney said: “We’re trying to create a bit of friendly competition between the schools by seeing which school has the highest number of sign ups – something we have received positive feedback on so far.”
