Doncaster Rugby League are heading overseas as Gary Thornton’s side take on Toulouse this Saturday, 6:30pm (5:30pm BST).

The Dons will begin travelling on Friday for the journey to the south of France, looking to end Toulouse’s unbeaten run in the division.

Thornton will be without long term absentee’s George Milton, Reece Williams and George Milton, whilst Mike Kelly who had to be withdrawn through injury during our clash with Oxford last time out will also be missing.

Jordie Hedges who made a return from injury a fortnight ago came through that game unscathed and is likely to feature alongside Jordan Howden in the half backs.

Liam Welham who scored a hat-trick in the clash with Oxford will be aiming to claim a spot in the starting line-up on Saturday.

The Dons are looking for a third victory in a row in League 1, having defeated Oxford and Coventry Bears in the last three weeks.

Toulouse have won all four games at the Stade Ernest Argelès de Blagnac, with their latest victory coming last weekend with the 48-16 defeat of the University of Gloucestershire All Golds.

The French outfit have scored more points than any other team and also have the best defence record in the league, conceding just 98 points from their opening eight matches.

They have only dropped league points once this season, when they drew away with Rochdale Hornets 28-28 back in April.

Toulouse this week completed the signing of Hull Kingston Rovers second rower Con Mika, however he will not play for the hosts until July 1st.

A Doncaster victory would see the Dons leapfrog Toulouse into second place in League 1.

A Dons win, coupled with other favourable results in the division would see the Doncaster all but secure a top half finish and a place in the Super 8’s with four games to spare.
