THE DRAGONS SIGN KAIDE ELLIS

Recommended Posts

The Dragons have confirmed the signing of Kaide Ellis a day after he was granted a release by Penrith.

The 23-year-old was a member of the club's premiership-winning under-20 side in 2015 and won the state championship title with the Panthers in 2017.

Ellis made his NRL debut in 2018 and racked up eight NRL appearances in Panthers colours.

Dragons director of rugby league pathways and list management Ian Millward said Ellis's arrival would help the club's depth.

"Kaide is a very formidable figure and has been a standout in the Canterbury Cup over the past few seasons, and all the while has always being on the periphery of first-grade selection," Millward said.

He must be keen to go to a club where he's more of a chance of getting into the team. He must have been frustrated at Panthers where his chance of a team place given their form was slim.
