Warriors News
Get the latest on the Wigan Warriors squad with the Holts Injury Update. This week’s squad announcement ahead of Wigan’s Betfred Super League fixture with Catalans Dragons brought an update on the Warriors squad. The big news from the announcement was the return of Club Captain Sean O’Loughlin, who has not made a first team appearance since February. O’Loughlin has made 454 appearances for Wigan, scoring 88 tries. The loose-forward picked up an eye injury against Toronto in the early rounds of the Betfred Super League, keeping him out of action into the lockdown period. He did feature in the squad to face Wakefield in Round 8 (following the restart) but missed out due to a hamstring injury which has kept the 37-year-old sidelined ever since. Prop-forward George Burgess has also returned to the 21 after one week out due to a hip-injury sustained vs Castleford in Round 10. Injury List Winger Liam Marshall continues his recovery from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament knee injury sustained during the Round 10 tie with Castleford. Forward Tony Clubb remains sidelined with a long-term neck injury. Half-back Jake Shorrocks is unavailable as he continues recovery from a hamstring injury.
