Advice required from anyone who may know about locksmithery.

Firstly, my door lock is a waist height normal handle type, it is also a safety lock(?), the door can be locked and unlocked whilst a copy of the key is in the other side. So if I left the key in the door someone else with a key could still get in. I don't know if this type of lock has a technical term.

My problem is this, I can unlock and lock the door from the inside, but I can only unlock the door from the outside. The key won't turn clockwise to lock it. All the other parts of the door and locking mechanism is working normally and there is no visible damage.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Euro Cylinder lock. uPVC door.

Buy a new cylinder Hindle, I had trouble with mine and bought a new set of handles, barrel etc as I couldn't buy one without the other. It took less than 5 minutes to swap it over, hope that helps.
