NEW 2022 FIJIAN WARM-UP SHIRT IN HONOUR OF MIKE RATU

 

Rochdale Hornets is delighted to launch their 2022 Fijian warm-up shirt in honour of Mike Ratu, with every shirt carrying his legendary name and number.

The shirt also incorporates the national flag of Fiji, alongside traditional markings.

The markings are Fijian Masi to represent all the islands of Fiji. 

There is also markings of Beqa, which is the island of Firewalkers Mural, to represent the home of the Ratu family.

The shirt is on sale now at our online store, or in the club shop from Sunday March 27.

Steve Kerr, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Our warm-up shirt is available later than planned but I hope you agree it is worth the wait! 

"After hearing about Mike Ratu’s passing over the Christmas period we wanted to recognise Mike, his achievements, and what he meant to the club and the community, in our own special way.”

“The 2022 warm-up shirt is dedicated to Mike and his family and we look forward to seeing them at a game very soon.

"While incorporating Fijian Masi in the body of the design, Hornets’ squad will wear Ratu - 2 on the back of their shirts as a tribute to the incredible man,” Kerr said.
