To be fair he should have been the international player of the year a couple of years ago when the only match played was Netherlands v Germany.

Defiitely. IRL dropped the ball there. Wasn't any of their players fault there was no-one else able to be nominated!

“Never heard of” anyone who knows a single thing about international rugby league has heard of him.

He’s probably the best player in the world not to come from one of the 7 rugby league playing nations. (Not including Hurrell and Katoa)

Edit- I would probably give it to Kayal Iro actually given he played rugby league growing up in the Cook Islands.
