Why? I have never been in trouble at a RL game? Maybe, just maybe the truth hurts just a little to much eh? The fact is you have an element of teenagers who stand near visiting supporters with a view to baiting/abusing/arguing with them. This extremely neanderthalic behaviour seems to be thoroughly endorsed by parents in the same area. What type of adults will these boys grow up to become,if their parents view this behaviour as perfectly acceptable? Gutter level rabble most probably, that's what!

I do not have the willpower, self motivation or desire to get into an argument with you,as I view your comments as having a heavy element of bias in them, and almost a refusal to accept that the behaviour of those people was completely unacceptable,as was the ability of their parents to endorse what was going on. I have had my final say on the matter, and will treat any further comments from you with the complete and utter comtempt which they undoubtedly deserve.

These neanderthals will eventually grow up to mouth foul abusive chants such as "fat ginger b@st@rd". from the summit of that high moral ground on which you currently reside.

You just can't stop digging that hole can you.

The problem here is everyone being judged by the actions of others. If as Wilders says he has always behaved well at games and in public in general then why should it be ironic that he takes the moral high ground? Just because other Warrington supporters let the side down this shouldn't be seen as a reflection on him personally.

Similarly though, Wilders, just because one group of Saints fans were behaving abusively behind you then it would be wrong to claim that this reflects on Saints fans in general. It's just as unfair to make comments like "If that's how they raise their kids in St.Helens I am glad I wasn't born there" as it is to judge you by the standard of less exemplary Warrington fans. The problem as ever is that the minority give the majority a bad name but there's no need to be short sighted about that.

As for Cunningham refereeing the game, there were many factors that contributed towards Saints winning and this wasn't one of them. They played the conditions superbly whereas Warrington squandered possession almost every time they got into a threatening position. The best team on the night deservedly won and that's all there is to it.

Any way back to the Rugby, I thought that Wire were going to have us yesterday after the first 10 minutes. But then Wire threw a pass that went to ground and it seamed to turn the momentum for the remaining 70 minutes. It was as if the beleive just passed straight out of the Warrington side. All that energy and 4 men in the tackle stopped and Briers went straight back into his shell.

The difference in the kickers also was telling. After 2 tries Saints were ahead, were as warrington could never really get any hold on the game with the kicks missing either side of the posts.

Our forwards really bossed the wire pack, after that first 10 minutes, Wire really lacked any go forward and struggled to dominate the tackle. Even with cunningham off we seamed to be able to keep the pace of the game to our liking and Roby gave a masterclass.

When you compare benches,

Roby, Clough, Dixon, Emmitt.
v
Myler, Wood, Cooper, Solomona.

It would look like warrington had the stronger bench on paper but as it turns out that was not the case.

Nice to see a home grown bench too.
Super League the only place in the world where people still believe that less competitors and a closed market to new competition will improve the quality of the product.

Even the Chinese and the Cubans gave up on these marxist principles years ago.

SL with a reduced number of competitors and a closed market = North Korea.

Spot on there mate smile.gif our pack put in a fantastic effort, it looks like Hargreaves wants to finish his time at Saints with a bang while it's good to see Soliola finally fit.

Was also pleased to hear that McCarthy-Scarsbrook was in the crowd, he's obviously looking forward to starting with us biggrin.gif

I was surprised not to see fasavalu in the line up as if your going to trial a player you would think in a second chance game it would be ideal. If they try him in 2 weeks it's elimination and not really the time to be experimenting with your line up.

The rumour is that fasavalu is as fit as he has ever been and lost alot of weight that he was carrying.

As for smith, I see no reason why he will not play in 2 weeks, we may get lomax back or eastmond, but I'll doubt we'll get both also if we did have both, they have both picked up easy injuries this year in games maybe a place on the bench would be more likely.

While not condoning the abuse, you are kidding yourself if you think Warrington don't have foul-mouthed kids and women who attend games. Does that mean I wouldn't have liked to have been born in Warrington? cool.gif

Yeah it seems like we've seen the last of big Maurie sad.gif I can't see him playing again now, especially after the performance of the pack last night. As nice as it would be to see him in a Saints' shirt again if they're all fit in two weeks then it wouldn't be fair to drop one of them after that display. Still, his powerful runs and celebratory haka will live long in the memory biggrin.gif perhaps he'll treat us to another one yet even if he doesn't play again.

I completely agree on Smith, he absolutely has to play again. It would have been quite understandable if he'd told Saints where to go after not featuring for so long but he came in with a terrific attitude and gave it 100% with great results. I'm not sure I'd play Eastmond again this year, his talent is beyond doubt but when was the last time he played without picking up an injury early on? Seems like he needs a good deal of time out to fully recover, no point playing him at 70% or whatever because we've seen several times what will happen. Lomax and Smith would potentially be a very good partnership to go into the next game, assuming Johnny can recover in time.

At last some decent posts that make sense since my morning visit..And now that the parish priest of warrington has left the stage much better..As most can see, ive been around a long time and seen it all over and over again..We, and others took it for years in Wigans heydays and are still around to tell the tale. The only time i will stop going is when age DOES catch up, wont be long now folks, until then i will just have to adapt to society or not bother turning up. Its a choice we all have

Going to watch the game again at some point, it was not the cliff hanger of the week previously, but one again Cunningham put in a mighty effort to get us back ahead in the game.

I don't expect the play offs to get any shorter any time soon but I think at the least they should stop rewarding losers with a home game the next week.

It's not a reward for losing, it's a reward for finishing in the top 4 rather than 5th-8th.

So, I don't agree with you on this point - loser of 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd should definitely have the home advantage in the 2nd round.

Perhaps the real difference will be evident when Wire go back to Saints in a couple of weeks.

Not holding my breath.

Although winning in the last ever competitive game at Knowsley Road would be nice, can't see it happening.

I thought the way Mathers joined the line and got the pass away for the second King try was one of ithe best pieces of attacking full back play this season.
