Leilua Sacked by Roosters

Roosters are having a clear out. New coach Trent Robinson seems to be laying out his requirements of players and getting rid of anyone who falls short in his eyes.

It's understood that Leilua did not impress new coach Trent Robinson with concerns over his attitude towards training, as well as his off-field behaviour.

A Roosters insider said ‘‘we’re after professional athletes’’, believing it was best for the club to part ways with the 21-year-old.

It comes just two weeks after prop Mose Masoe was released from his final year of contract to join the Penrith Panthers.

Leilua has got a four match ban for the start of next season with whatever club he signs for.

That will be a condition put upon any registration of a new contract with the ARLC. It's because of the photo of his ex girlfriend he sent to her family and friends and being placed on a one-year good behaviour bond (no conviction was recorded).

The ARLC has announced it will impose a conditional registration on any contract submitted for Leilua that he cannot play until after round four.

The ban is in response to Leilua being found to have sent a naked photo of his ex-girlfriend to her brother and best friend
