With just one month to go until the London Broncos kick-off their Super League campaign Dan Sarginson is already looking forward to the season ahead.
The Broncos start the season with a home Super League fixture at the Twickenham Stoop against Widnes Vikings on Sunday February 3, kick-off 3:00pm.
“All the boys have put in 100 per cent during pre-season and the team are probably in the best shape we’ve ever been in,” said Sarginson.
“We’re really looking forward to the season ahead. It’s the first full pre-season I’ve had personally and all the boys are looking in good shape.
“Widnes were similar to us last year in that they had a lot of new signings. They have a good team on paper so it should be a good game. Even when we played them at their place both games were decided in the last couple of minutes so it would be good to get one over on them in the first game of the season.”
The Broncos play three friendly matches before the big Super League kick-off including two games while on a six-day training camp in France. They face the London Skolars at the HAC in London on January 11 (kick-off 2:00pm), Toulouse Olympique at the Stade Arnauné on January 19 (6:30pm) and Catalan Dragons at the Gilbert Brutus on January 23 (6:30pm).
“I’m really excited to play against the Skolars,” continued Sarginson, “There are quite a few players that have left here and gone to Skolars so it’ll be good to play against them and see how they’ve come along.”

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”  Eleanor Roosevelt
