St George legend and National Rugby League Hall of Famer Billy Smith has died aged 84.
Billy Smith played 234 first-grade games for St George and was part of the Dragons team that won four consecutive premierships from 1963 to 1966. Smith captained Australia, represented New South Wales, and was selected at halfback in the St George Team of the Century in 2022.
“Billy Smith is one of the giants of the Dragons, and his name will forever be synonymous with the Red V,” Dragons CEO Tim Watsford said in a statement today.
