Is it really 50 years since this" Murphy" final. Your knowledge on yesterdays teams Mark knows no bounds. People say the good old days should be left in the past, but surely not. We had some tremendous players in the past , as, of course, did other teams. But for me with this IMG farce , loans when ever, and DR , c--p leadership at the top etc. The game has been ruined , and I can see its demise, quite soon , but hopefully not before I am looking at the roses from below. as I am 81 years young.

Yes JP the referee was certainly inexperienced.. If Fax had been a bit more penetration on the edges they would have been out of sight in the first half, but happily they wernt. Enjoyed the game , that last 10 minutes was magic. This is the first time, i think that GG has been sent off the field never even been binned. That tackle off the field on Hooley was poor reffing. Massey played some good minutes and will only get better. Turner is a superb RL player pity we have not got a settled N06 to go with him.

Quite right S you need a degree to understand the questions never mind the answers. We are northern grass roots supporters who call a spade a spade and this s---t is just a money making exercise for IMG and our RFL has fallen for all this speel to the detriment of us supporters )( not Super League.) I have supported our great game since 1959 and have never felt so fed up with the way it is going from administration to this DR & loan farce to the mess of the challenge cup , need I go on.. Once we had a 30 team game where we were all in it together for the glory , heartache etc of each and every match. Yes there were bigger teams than Fev but there was none of this(we are better than you ) syndrome. Rant over for now

Sweaty palms job when Widnes went ahead, You can never be disappointed with Rovers. At the moment we certainly play to the end. This tackle over the line was a shocking decision by the ref, who had a fair game up to that point. I thought it would go down to the wire in fact down to the last few minutes. Well done both teams for an enjoyable match
