Very fair comment! Although, this does seem to go a bit beyond the usual article with very little content being given a clickbait headline, and goes onto completely misquoting somebody for a completely untrue, clickbait article. Probably knowing that the individual in question has plenty of detractors and that it will provoke a reaction from fans of various clubs

IMG Grading System (Many Merged Threads)
phiggins replied to DemonUK's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
There was a press briefing last week relating to IMG scoring, some details here: https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/img-super-league-grading-expansion-29103175 I find the fact that the RFL are still in a tender process for an auditor to be quite worrying. Hopefully they are close to picking that auditor because the contracting process is unlikely to be a quick one. Also not sure why details cannot be submitted and verified before September. A number of clubs will have filed the last accounts to be considered in this round already. There ought to be a live table, where clubs and fans can at least have an idea of where they stand once the last regular league game finishes, subject to impact the play offs has on final positions and bonus points, but that won't be happening. -
IMG Grading System (Many Merged Threads)

It seems unlikely that there will be more than 12 teams that achieve a grade A this year, but with noises coming out of Leigh, Wakefield and Cas, it would not surprise me to see a team miss out on Super League with a score of 14.something, and 13 or more grade As becoming a real possibility for 2026 season. Ultimately, you can commit to a certain score guaranteeing a place in Super League, or you can commit to a certain number of teams. You can't do both with absolute certainty, and I fear the RFL have dug a bit of a hole for themselves here. -
I see Callum Walker has just pretty much lied about what Beaumont said in that clip from the sponsors lounge. What he said was, “we’ve signed players that we’ve not announced, clubs have signed players, there’s a player that’s been signed from here that’s not been announced by that club…” Walker quotes him as saying ““There’s a player that has been signed from here (Castleford) that has not been announced by the club because that’s the correct etiquette” Quite how he can say ‘here’ means Castleford, when he’s stood at the Leigh ground! Then this site runs the article with the headline “Leigh Leopards owner reveals signing of Castleford star” Awful journalism

Agree with that. And I’d hope this hasn’t been done out of pettiness, and was instead the call of Lam and Chester. There’s also a chance the recall was decided on when Hardaker made Tex Hoy look like a wrecking ball on Saturday. Just hope that it’s not because of an injury to Leutele

I suspect we’ll soon learn of another injury at Leigh, or another outgoing that means we can’t afford to have him out on loan.
-
I would’ve liked to see us keep him. But he’s not played second row since the middle of last season. Been mainly a bench prop since then, but has done a good job there. Wouldn’t be surprised if we have a few players that we’ve offered one year deals to, that get two years elsewhere.

Yes. The clip of Beaumont said we initially offered a one year deal, but increased it to two, but weren’t willing to match the pay and three years on offer from Hull
-
Holmes also on his way to Hull?
-
But Leigh ultimately offered him a 2 year deal
