  1. Super League commentator doesn’t appreciate the difference between and 18 point lead and a 20 point lead with 15 minutes left
  2. Struggling to see how that went back from Field’s hand, given the way he patted it into Handley
  3. Would be interesting to know how many are genuinely 50/50 or subjective calls as well.
  4. If there are doubts over the accuracy of video ref calls then I don’t think we lose much by binning captains challenge until we have enough of the pitch picked up by quality cameras to support it
  5. 54 minute half. We surely can’t be carrying on with captain’s challenge in its current format?
  6. That must’ve been after they saw a replay on screen. Really need to find a way to avoid showing replays on the screen while there’s still an option to challenge
  7. Not sure what Sivo was doing when that kick went across
  8. Leigh have improved in recent weeks, but not enough to trouble KR unless they have an off day.
  9. I don't have that info. Merely suggesting that it would be a useful exercise to research it given the amount of salary cap value sat in the stands. Probably the most exaggerated example I can think of is, how much do Hull FC make for each home league game compared to how much is John Asiata costing them per game? The idea of increased interchanges for early rounds of the cup was more about reducing the number of minutes played on softer pitches in February / March, while improving the pre-seasons, which at the moment seems to be on the short side for SL.
  10. I do wonder if the number of games and the income generated is becoming a false economy, given the amount of money spend on paying and treating injured players. I'd consider reducing the regular league season, and making the early rounds of the challenge cup a pre-season, group stage, competition, with increased number of interchanges and subs allowed.
  11. Yes, that is the difference between not being able to go, and deciding not to go. While there may be some in the middle, not being able to justify the cost or an extra weekend spent at the rugby, people not going purely because it is a 'faff' falls into the latter.
  12. Sunday as well I imagine.
  13. It means you're bothered enough to go.
  14. You say I'm talking rubbish, but you're kind of saying the same thing. People not going because they think going to Manchester is a faff, aren't that bothered about going in the first place.
  15. Nope, not having it. I'm going to the final this year, because I like to go every few years as a neutral. I'm travelling from Burnley, and would've got on that line at Preston. Instead, I'm going to Manchester instead. I suspect if that line was running, a number of fans would've booked onto the cheaper trains with frequent stops anyway. The cost of travel and any potential accommodation, the cost of travelling to Paris the following week are all entirely valid reasons not to go. As is not wanting to go btw. But I'm standing by it. If your main reason for not going is that you don't want to get to Manchester for the train, then you don't really want to go that much. Which is fine as well.
