Salford Red Devils have named a youthful squad for Friday’s much-publicised trip to Hull FC.
The Red Devils had asked Hull for permission to postpone the game owing to having so many players unavailable – a request which was turned down by FC earlier in the week.
Coach Iestyn Harris admitted earlier today that the club have five or six players who are “50-50” for the game, including the likes of Ben Jones-Bishop, Theo Fages and Mason Caton-Brown.
They have all been named in Harris’ squad for the game – and there is no place for both Ian Watson and Martin Gleeson, who were both reportedly going to be registered as players should Salford need them.
Salford squad to face Hull FC: Caton-Brown, Evalds, Fages, Forster, Gee, Gildart, D Griffin, G Griffin, Greenwood, Hansen, Johnson, Jones-Bishop, Lannon, Locke, Tasi, Taylor, Walne, J Walne, A Walne, Walton.
