Salford Red Devils sign million-pound kit deal

Salford Red Devils have signed a lucrative deal with sportswear giants Under Armour reported to be worth a million pounds.

The performance brand, best known for popularising the compression shirt, is taking off across the world in team sports and currently supplies Tottenham Hotspur football club and the Welsh national rugby union team.

“We are both delighted and excited to be bringing the Under Armour brand to Super League,” said Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash.

“Their performance kit is tried and tested in the toughest contact sports in the world so it is fitting that they will now bringing their excellence into our game.

“At the Red Devils we are constantly looking to push the boundaries and get new companies involved and this partnership with Under Armour is further proof that both we and the wider game itself are an attractive proposition to some of the largest names in world sport.

“Our players will benefit greatly from Under Armour’s legendary kit technology and our supporters will get to wear a brand that carries with it a great deal of kudos within the world of sport.”

Red Devils CEO Martin Vickers added: “Expected delivery of shirts is the beginning of December but they will be ready to pre-order from the beginning of November.”
