New Hull KR signing Greg Burke has reassured Robins fans that his shoulder injury from last season is nothing to worry about, as he gears up for a big season with the club.
Burke suffered a nasty shoulder dislocation during the 2014 season – in which he spent time on loan at Bradford Bulls – but has bounced back from that knock, making several appearances in the latter part of last season.
And he assured KR fans that there’s no need to be concerned with any recurrence of the injury – saying he’s not worried about it whatsoever.
“I get the odd twinge and niggle with the shoulder, but that’s the same with any injury,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.
“You’ve always got a niggle or a knock, that’s part and parcel of rugby league. You’re never 100 per cent injury-free.
“I played plenty of games at the back end of last year after I did it and it’s been fine ever since. For me, the shoulder is not even an issue any more.”
