Featherstone Rovers and Hunslet Hawks have confirmed that their fixture originally intended to take place at Rovers will now be switched to Wakefield.
The game, which serves as the opening fixture of the Championship season for both clubs, has had to be moved from Rovers' Big Fellas Stadium due to on-going pitch maintenance at the ground.
