Hull FC coach Lee Radford admits the club would understand if halfback Jordan Rankin opted not to extend his contract with the club beyond the end of this season.
Rankin’s two-year deal with the Black and Whites expires at the end of this season and, having expressed a desire to return to his native Australia, Radford insists he will be content with whatever decision the 23-year-old makes.
“Jordan is a great kid. If he decides to go back to the NRL he goes back with our best wishes and I’m sure he’ll be a success wherever he is playing,” Radford told the Hull Daily Mail.
“We are in a fortunate position though, because we have options there.
“We’ve brought Marc Sneyd in, who is still young, we have young Harry Tyson-Wilson and Jordan Abdull can also play there too, so we are much healthier than we have been in the past.”
