London Broncos have signed a dual-registration agreement with First Utility Super League side Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
As part of the deal, Malta international and current Wakefield halfback Jarrod Sammut is now available to play for the Broncos this weekend as they travel to face Leigh Centurions.
London Broncos head coach Joey Grima said: “I already have a relationship with Sammut having coached him at Malta.
“I’ve watched Sammut played over the past six seasons in the NRL and Super League and I consider him to be a valuable player due to his versatility.
“The addition of Sammut brings opportunities where we’ve been hit hard by injuries.”
The agreement is in addition to the dual-registration deal the Broncos have with London Skolars and Oxford RL who both play in the Kingstone Press Championship 1 competition.
Wildcats coach James Webster added, “This provides an excellent opportunity for Jarrod to play against one of the best teams in the Championship competition.”
