Speculation linking Salford Red Devils forward Lama Tasi with a move to St Helens is nothing more than that, says Devils chief executive Martin Vickers.
Reports had suggested that Tasi was being lined up for a switch to the champions for 2016 after an impressive start to Super League XX with Salford.
However, Vickers told the Manchester Evening News that there’s nothing in the reports at all, and Tasi will remain a Red Devil.
‘‘It really is just sheer speculation,’’ says Vickers.
‘‘Lama is our player and we saw him back to his best against Wakefield last time out.
‘‘We all know what a strong running forward he is. He recaptured the fine form he showed in his first season and there is nothing at all in the link with Saints.’’
