Titans turn the tables

The Gold Coast Titans today defeated Penrith 32-6 in front of a home crowd of 9244. The win comes just five weeks after they were thrashed by Penrith 40-0.

It wasn’t all one way traffic though, as Penrith’s Waqa Blake scored the first try after 7 minutes, however they would not trouble the scorers for the rest of the game. William Zillman and Josh Hoffman both scored a pair of tries while speedster James Roberts’ stunning recent form continued when he crossed for a try midway through the second half.

The game was a bumbling affair early on, with both sides unable to display any discipline with the ball in hand, or in defence. It wasn’t until an hour had passed that the Titan’s smartened their play and took hold of the match.

Gold Coast have now put an end to their early season bad form, scoring a combined total of 70 points in their last two victories.
