No game bigger than Wigan away, says Burrow

Leeds Rhinos hooker, Rob Burrow has insisted that of all the games in Super League, their trip this week to face Wigan Warriors will be as big as it gets.

When the head to the DW Stadium on Thursday, the Rhinos will be looking to strengthen their position at the top of the table by beating third-placed Wigan.  Burrow is in no doubt about the importance of the game, insisting that it should be a “cracker”.

“Every game is big at this stage of the season,” he said, “but none comes bigger than Wigan away.”  Obviously we want to play well because they beat us last time we met, and did a pretty good job on us at that.  But there is no `score to settle’; we don’t won’t to `get our own back’ or anything like that.  We want to play well and perform well enough to get the win.

“Last time we played Wigan they came to us off the back of a bad loss.  This time they will be wanting to rectify their defeat at Warrington by beating a team like Leeds.

“We need to be on our guard, if we are to build on our good win against St Helens and keep this forward momentum going.”
