Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith has confirmed that Parramatta half-back Chris Sandow is on a list of targets they have for the halves.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked to Warrington in recent weeks, and Smith conceded to BBC Radio Merseyside that he is someone they are looking at.
“He’s one of the many,” said Smith.
He added: “We’ve spoken to a number of people on this and that side of the world. He’s on the list.”
Smith also remained coy on whether Sandow could yet come before the end of this season, despite reports in Australia suggesting Sandow has had a request for an early release from Parramatta rejected.
“We need to land somebody,” added Smith. “Whether that is then for this year as well, that’s a whole different ball game.
“We’ve just got to work things through and make sure we’re getting the right person.”
