Wakefield head coach Brian Smith took responsibility for his team’s defeat after being thumped by local rivals Castleford.
Smith has frequently rotated his team since taking over as head coach, however he accepted it had backfired on this occasion.
“A lot of people have to be accountable today and so do I. I made lots of changes about our team trying to discover what might be our best line-up and to give everybody at the club a fair crack to show what they can do. We had some guys today that were well below their best.”
