Huddersfield Giants prop Eorl Crabtree has insisted that ahead of his 400th appearance for the club tomorrow, the Giants’ class of 2015 is the best he’s been involved with.
Huddersfield will further strengthen their grip on a top-four finish if they can defeat Castleford live on Sky Sports and put a major dent in the Tigers’ chances of the four in the process.
And ahead of the milestone, Crabtree believes that the club are now ready to go on and make the next step and become a serious force in Super League after years of near misses.
“This is the best group I’ve played in,” he said. “We’ve got some of the best individuals and it’s a well-rounded group with more strength in depth.
“We’re in a position now where the players can actually go on and do something. It’s taken a while to get to that stage.
“I think we’ve improved year after year and now we’re ready to make that next step, which is winning a major trophy. That’s what we’re aspiring to do.”
