Broncos sign Leatherbarrow

London Broncos have confirmed the signing of Batley Bulldogs half-back Scott Leatherbarrow on a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old has been a constant figure in the Batley line-up since moving to the club in 2014 from Keighley Cougars. He is a likely replacement for current Broncos playmaker Oscar Thomas, who will join Bradford Bulls at the start of next season.

Speaking to London’s official website, Leatherbarrow said “I’m really excited to be joining the Broncos,”

“It’s obviously a big move for me moving away from my family and friends but I’m really looking forward to a new challenge.”

“Training full time will benefit my game in a number of ways. Obviously you get the little things such as better recovery but also you spend more time around your team mates, more time on the field doing core skills and specific training around set positions. I believe that will all really help.”
