Wakefield Trinity Wildcats coach Brian Smith has said that despite the Super League semi-finals taking place this weekend, his side’s game with Bradford is the most important of the entire weekend.
The inaugural Million Pound Game sees Smith’s Wakefield square off against former club Bradford for the final place in Super League in 2016, with Belle Vue expected to be a sellout on Saturday.
And Smith says he’s expecting a “cracking game”, and says that it is the most significant and important of the fixtures to be played this weekend.
“It is the most important game on this weekend, that’s for sure,” he said.
“It should be a cracking game. It is exciting to be part of something where everything is on the line.
“It’s an incredible feeling knowing it is all on the line and everything comes down to this game.
“The game is going to be a beauty and it will capture people’s imaginations. Certainly the two clubs involved are going to buy into it big time.”
