TEASER: Mossop ready for huge 2016 campaign with Wigan

Monday’s League Express – the 3000th edition and the first of 2016 – will feature all the usual news, interviews and features from the world of Rugby League.

This Monday’s edition features an interview with Wigan prop Lee Mossop, who talks exclusively about his form during his first year back at the club and how he’s determined for a big season in 2016.

Here’s a sneak preview of some quotes from the towering 26-year-old – with the full, exclusive story available to read only in this Monday’s paper.

Mossop says his best years are still to come after a horrendous stage of his career, in which injuries cut short his stay with Parramatta in the NRL.

“My best years are ahead of me,” says Mossop. “It’s well-known props have their best years in their late 20s and early 30s; I’m a bit off that yet but it’s only a couple of years ago that I was playing against Australia in the World Cup, when I was only 24.

“I’m confident in what lies ahead. Every player gets injuries, I’m hoping and I’m confident mine all came earlier in my career.”
