Radford praises Yeaman after playing in difficult circumstances

Hull FC coach Lee Radford reserved praise for long-serving centre and former teammate Kirk Yeaman after appearing for the club just days after a family tragedy.

Yeaman played during Hull’s 46-12 win against Doncaster, putting his hand up to play even though the game fell just days after the passing of his father.

Impressed with not only his commitment to the team but his performance on the day, Radford reserved special praise for his former team mate.

“It was difficult off field circumstances for Kirk this week, but he wanted to play and I thought he looked really tidy, which is a credit to him,” he told the club’s official website after the game.

“He’s given me something to think about and it’s a pat on the back for Kirk, not only for what he has had to deal with this week off the field but how he impressed out there too.”

A full report of Hull’s victory will be available to view in Monday’s League Express.
