Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell believes that Thursday’s opponents Hull FC look like they have the squad to potentially be title contenders in 2016.
The Thursday night clash on Sky sees two of Super League’s unbeaten teams go head-to-head at the KC Stadium, when FC meet the Tigers in an eagerly-anticipated clash.
Powell, who will still be without captain Michael Shenton but could name an unchanged team for the match, says he’s been impressed by what counterpart Lee Radford has done at Hull, and says they will be a serious threat to all of Super League in 2016.
“They look strong across the board. They look a good team, they look like they are together,” he told the Yorkshire Post.
“Lee Radford has done a pretty good job in terms of that.
“He copped a fair bit of stick, but he has held firm and he has got to be applauded for the way he has pulled this team together.
“They are going to be a threat to everyone this year. They look like they have got the players [to be title contenders].
