York City Knights head coach James Ford is relishing today’s Challenge Cup showdown with city rivals Acorn.
The club is hoping to draw over 2,000 spectators for the game, which is the League One side’s first game back in the city centre for many years, taking place at York City’s Bootham Crescent.
“It should be a great game,” said the Knights chief.
“York Acorn gave a really good account of themselves when we had an opposed training session with them so it will be a tough test for us.
“I’m sure it will be a fantastic spectacle.”
