Hull KR have officially parted company with head coach Chris Chester.
The club confirmed last week that Chester had been stood down after a difficult start to the season, with Rovers yet to register a win.
However, the Robins have gone on record to confirm that the two parties have officially gone their separate ways.
Rovers CEO Mike Smith said: “We would like to take the opportunity to thank Chris for all his efforts over the last year and a half, in what has often been quite trying circumstances.
“He took us to Wembley for the first time in thirty years, a landmark achievement of which he can be rightly proud.
“He’s hugely popular around the club having been a regular in our inaugural Super League season and involved at the club for the last ten years.
“We all wish him well in his future endeavours once he’s had time away with his family to recharge his batteries.”
Chris Chester added: “I’m delighted to have served the club over this last ten years. I will always be grateful to Neil Hudgell, Rob Crossland and the board of directors for giving me the chance to coach this great club and I’m proud of all my achievements with the Robins.
“The fans in particular will always hold a special place in my memories and I look forward to coming back to the club once I’ve taken some time out with family to rest and consider my options.”
The club has also confirmed that Willie Poching will remain in temporary charge for the game with Super League leaders Widnes Vikings on Friday.
