Halifax RLFC captain Scott Murrell has been ruled out for three weeks after surgery on his hand.
Murrell, who was nominated for the Championship Player of the Year award in 2015, suffered the injury against London but went on to play the rest of the game.
Fax head coach Richard Marshall revealed after the game the injury would require plastic surgery, a procedure Murrell has now undergone.
He will now miss their upcoming games against Leigh Centurions and Pilkington Recs in the Challenge Cup.
