PREVIEW: Dewsbury v Leigh

Dewsbury Rams recovered from a 30-44 derby defeat to Batley on Good Friday with a comfortable 34-16 home win over Sheffield on Monday and Head Coach Glenn Morrison admitted: “We’re pretty busted.

“We put together a team against Sheffield with players carrying injuries which isn’t ideal but we got the win.

“We’ll take confidence into Leigh. It’s another quick turnaround but we showed some real strength in depth on Monday so hopefully we can put on a bit of a show this weekend against a real good side.”

League-leaders Leigh eased to a 40-24 away win over Workington Town on Monday but Neil Jukes admitted: “I was very disappointed with our first half but we turned ourselves around and started scoring a few points.

“We lost our way a little bit when Martyn Ridyard went off, but we got maximum points from the Easter weekend and we’re looking forward to Dewsbury now.”

Cory Paterson, Liam Kay, Tom Spencer and Gareth Hock are all in contention to play at The Tetley’s Stadium.
