Michael Dobson believes Salford should have more wins to their name than they do at present.
Following victory over Leeds at the weekend, the Red Devils are eighth in the league with five wins from 11 outings.
Among those six defeats, the Red Devils have lost at the death against Wigan and surrendered a hefty lead before eventually falling to Warrington thanks to a Chris Sandow drop goal after the hooter.
Victories in those games would have moved Salford into the top four, and Dobson expressed his frustration at coming up short in those games.
“We’ve missed a few opportunities to move further up the ladder,” he said.
“We’ve been in games that we should have seen out, but we haven’t. But the good thing is that we’re in games. We’ve been in every game other than the first one this year against Hull FC, we just need to be better at closing them out.
“We knew we have a good squad, but we need to convert that into wins to ensure our place in the eight.”
