London Broncos picked up a crucial victory at Sheffield Eagles last week and their coach, Andrew Henderson, has singled out Sunday’s clash against Bradford as “huge”.
The Broncos are flying high at the top end of the Championship and ahead of the visit of the Bulls, who are still under the direction of interim coach Matt Diskin, Henderson admits Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash is a massive one for both teams.
Henderson said: “Last week was our best attacking performance of the season and we will need to replicate that this week if we are to trouble Bradford.
“Sunday is a huge game for both teams. We want to keep our unbeaten record at home and remain in the top two, whilst Bradford will be aiming to stop our run. It will be a great atmosphere with the London faithful in full voice and the Bulls fans who will travel in numbers and are brilliant.”
Bradford won 52-16 last week at home to Workington Town. Assistant coach Chev Walker said: “We started a little bit sketchy and a little bit off where we want to be but we’re picking up results.
“It’s just a question of trying to build and build to the Middle 8s and then go from there. The sooner we can get on a winning streak the better, we’ve picked up two decent wins with two half-decent performances. Once we get a decent performance we’ll go from there.
“London play some attractive rugby. They’re well-disciplined and play an expansive game. It will be a tough game but I’m sure it’s one we’re up for. We’ll be looking to go there and do our best.”
