Saints clash biggest game of Hull’s year so far, says Leon Pryce

Hull FC half-back Leon Pryce believes that Sunday’s game against St Helens is the biggest of their season so far.

Arguably the standout tie of the round, Hull travel to Pryce’s former club in a clash that pits fifth against fourth on the Super League table.

And he told the official Hull website that there is no bigger game than this one, the fixture which marks their entry into the Challenge Cup for 2016 as they bid to win the competition for the first time since 2005.

“It’s the biggest game of the season so far,” he said.

“Success in the Challenge Cup is as special for most fans and players as Super League. Away at Langtree Park is always a really tough encounter.”

And Pryce admits that he has targeted a good run in the Challenge Cup and made it one of his main aims for 2016 with the Black and Whites.

“My goal at the start of the season was to progress, get to the final and hopefully win it.

“Cup games are not about form, they are about who wants it the most.

“Everyone knows what the Challenge Cup means and will be going that little bit extra.”
