Whitehaven winger Craig Calvert’s career total tries has been clarified by the RFL.
There had been a number of differing figures both for Calvert’s total and that of previous club record scorer David Seeds.
But extensive checking between the RFL’s statistician Daniel Spencer and Haven historian Brian Sharples has now confirmed the totals for both.
In means that Calvert went into Sunday’s game at Swinton Lions level with his former team-mate in career tries for Haven.
Former centre Seeds – who later went on to coach the club – scored 225 tries in 358 appearances between 1993 and 2007.
Calvert’s try in the recent home win over Oldham also took his total to 225, having played 301 matches for the Cumbrians since making his debut in 2004.
Meanwhile hooker Nathan Lucock has become the latest member of the squad to return to the amateur ranks.
A club statement read: “Nathan Lucock has decided to return to the amateur game because his work commitments at the moment do not fit in with a role at the club.
“The club would like to thank Nathan for his efforts and hope one day he might return to play professional rugby.”
The former Workington player, who made seven appearances for Town last season, joined Ben Milburn in leaving the club in recent weeks.”
