SQUAD NEWS: Big names return for Magic Weekend Day One

There seems to be good news aplenty on the injury front ahead of day one of the Magic Weekend – with several key names set to return for their sides.

In the opening match of the weekend, Widnes are able to welcome back Kevin Brown – which means a potential recall for the Vikings captain as they look to arrest their horrendous losing spree.

Widnes squad: Bridge, Brown, Cahill, Chapelhow, Dean, Dudson, Hanbury, Heremaia, Houston, Leuluai, Mauokafoa, Mellor, O’Carroll, Runciman, Marsh, Sa, Thompson, White Whitley.

It is game two where the most notable returns come through, with both Castleford and Widnes welcoming back some big names into the fray.

The Tigers, most crucially of all, have been able to welcome back Ben Roberts after over two months out with injury, and he comes into the mix alongside Ryan Hampshire. Meanwhile, Warrington are able to include Ryan Bailey and Toby King after significant injury lay-offs.

Warrington squad: Bailey, Clark, Cox, Currie, Gidley, Hill, Jullien, T King, G King, Lineham, Ormsby, Philbin, Ratchford, Russell, Sims, Smith, Westerman, Westwood, Wilde.

Castleford squad: Cook, Crooks, Dorn, Flynn, Gale, Hampshire, Massey, McMeeken, McShane, Millington, Milner, Moors, Monaghan, Patrick, Roberts, Springer, Solomona, Tickle, Webster.

The final game on day one is between Leeds and Wigan, with the Warriors welcoming back Wales prop Ben Flower, at the expense of Tony Clubb. However, they will be without Anthony Gelling due to injury, meaning Greg Burke comes back in too.

Wigan squad: Bateman, Burke, Charnley, Crosby, Flower, Gildart, Isa, Manfredi, Mossop, O’Loughlin, Powell, Sarginson, Smith, Sutton, Tautai, Tierney, J Tomkins, S Tomkins, Williams.

Leeds squad: Hardaker, Watkins, McGuire, Burrow, Galloway, Falloon, Cuthbertson, Jones-Buchanan, Delaney, Singleton, Garbutt, Keinhorst, Achurch, Mullally, Walters, Handley, Golding, Lilley, Ferres.
