Cas come from behind to ease past league leaders Warrington

Castleford Tigers backed up their incredible performance against Leeds the week previous to convincingly dispatch of Warrington 34-14.

Trailing 14-0 after 30 minutes, Castleford upped their game and from that point onwards put in a scintillating performance as they put the league leaders to the sword.

This was a second consecutive defeat for Tony Smith’s side, who are likely to lose their position at the top of Super League following this defeat.

It looked set to be a comfortable day for the Tigers when Stefan Ratchford, Kurt Gidley and Ben Currie put them 14-0 ahead within 30 minutes.

However, the lead was just two points strong by half-time, with Luke Dorn and Grant Millington scoring to make the score 14-12 at the break.

But the second-half truly belonged to Cas, who put in an incredible attacking display to secure a huge victory.

Denny Solomona put the Tigers in the lead after beating Tom Lineham to Gale’s high kick, and further tries from Mike McMeeken, Solomona and Dorn secured victory for Castleford.
