Leeds Rhinos have been handed a huge fitness boost ahead of Friday’s trip to Warrington with the news that four key players are set to return.
The Rhinos suffered a setback moments before Saturday’s Magic Weekend defeat to Wigan when vice-captain Rob Burrow and key forward Brett Delaney were both withdrawn due to injury setbacks.
However, both of those two will come into the reckoning for the trip to the Halliwell Jones Stadium along with another crucial duo.
Fellow forward Mitch Garbutt also returns to Leeds’ 19-man squad – along with half-back Liam Sutcliffe, who returns from suspension for the game.
Leeds 19-man squad: Zak Hardaker, Kallum Watkins, Danny McGuire, Rob Burrow, Keith Galloway, Adam Cuthbertson, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Liam Sutcliffe, Brett Delaney, Brad Singleton, Mitch Garbutt, Jimmy Keinhorst, Mitch Achurch, Josh Walters, Ash Handley, Ashton Golding, Jordan Lilley, Brett Ferres, Luke Briscoe.
Meanwhile, Warrington have been given a huge boost themselves with four of their own key men returning.
The headline is Chris Sandow, the half-back returning what appears to be well ahead of schedule following his recent lay-off. And he has been joined in the 19-man squad by Brad Dwyer, Ryan Atkins and Rhys Evans.
