Huddersfield’s in form forward Michael Lawrence insists the Giants are expecting a difficult afternoon against Widnes despite their awful run of form.
Paul Anderson’s side take on the faltering Vikings on Sunday in a huge game for both clubs as they chase a top eight spot. Huddersfield will move to within two points of Denis Betts’ side with victory, who have lost their last eight Super League outings.
However, with the ramifications high, Lawrence insists the Giants can’t afford to take the Vikings lightly.
“It is going to be a hard game,” Lawrence told the club’s official website.
“Especially over at their place, they have got Kevin Brown, who is a very dangerous player and we are going to have to watch him. For us it is an absolutely massive game in terms of the context of the season and League table. If we get a win then we will go up to ninth and we will be two points off that top eight so it is a big game for us and we will be focused going there and looking to do a good job.”
“The more teams lose it makes them more dangerous because they are desperate for that win so we have got to go there and make sure it is not against us on Sunday.”
