Kallum Watkins has offered his support to team-mate Zak Hardaker following his decision to leave the Leeds Rhinos.
Hardaker was transfer listed by the Rhinos at the weekend after expressing his desire to play in the NRL.
It is understood that a number of clubs have already enquired about the reigning Man of Steel, who has been valued at £300,000.
Watkins has played with Hardaker in Leeds’ first-team for the last five years, winning three Grand Finals and two Challenge Cups together in that time.
However, the England centre fully supports Hardaker’s decision.
“I’m happy for him,” Watkins told TotalRL.
“He’s got an ambition that a lot of players have and want to achieve. Zak is fully committed to this team. He definitely has the backing of us lot. We know when he gets back from the injury he has now he will come back and do a real good job for us. We know he’s 100% with us and this club and will do everything he can to get back playing.”
