Triple boost for Saints ahead of Catalans clash

Mark Percival, Shannon McDonnell and Jordan Turner have all been passed fit for St Helens’ clash with Catalans.

Centre Percival has missed the last three weeks through injury, in which time Saints have lost three consecutive matches.

Keiron Cunningham has also been able to recall full-back Shannon McDonnell to the squad while Jordan Turner has passed the necessary tests to feature after being stretchered off last week with a bad concussion.

Under pressure coach Cunningham has once again put faith in his side ahead of the clash against the third-placed Dragons.

He told the St Helens Reporter: “I’d never lose confidence in this group. I believe in what we have here.

“You look around at the greatness that is still sprinkled around the place and the people involved. You can’t lose faith in these players.

“They are a good group and are working hard on and off the field but we need that complete package. When we do we will be a good side.”

St Helens’ 19-man squad to face Catalans: 1. Jonny Lomax, 3. Jordan Turner, 4. Mark Percival, 5. Adam Swift, 8. Alex Walmsley, 9. James Roby, 10. Kyle Amor, 11. Atelea Vea, 12. Jon Wilkin, 13.
