Castleford Tigers captain Luke Gale will miss Saturday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final at Wigan.
Gale has been omitted from the 19-man squad for the game at the DW Stadium; but there is some good news as Oliver Holmes returns to the squad.
Tigers coach Daryl Powell makes three changes to the 19 man squad from last week with Gale, Will Maher and Paddy Flynn missing out, replaced by Holmes, Mike McMeeken and Greg Minikin.
“We know what Wigan are all about and we know what they are going to bring. We need to execute our game plan and stay focused and defend a bit more consistently than we have throughout this season,” Powell said.
“We’ve put up good challenges to the so-called big teams in the league so we have little to fear against Wigan this weekend.”
